Today's GOP and #41's Inaugural Address

Someone on dkos dug up George H. W. Bush's 1989 Inaugural address. It sounds so different from the sarcasm, hate-mongering and lies that were dispensed from the podium at the 2008 RNC convention. This excerpt in particular struck me as out of tune with today's GOP.

A President is neither prince nor pope, and I don't seek a window on men's souls. In fact, I yearn for a greater tolerance, an easy-goingness about each other's attitudes and way of life.
