Bob Herbert does a masterful job of outlining what liberals have done for our country. Indeed, today's America would not exist if liberals had not stood up and taken the abuse heaped upon them by those who were afraid of change. Sarah Palin would not be on the ticket because she wouldn't have the right to vote.
