The 2008 Genius Award Winners

The Macarthur Foundation has a Meet the Winners page up with profiles of the 2008 Genius grant award winners. Will Allen, the urban farmer from Milwaukee and the two grant award winners in their 70's, Nancy Siraisi and Jennifer Tipton, are standouts. Will for the inspirational aspect of his work and what he does on a daily basis. Nancy and Jennifer because they break the mold on must how young one must be to be considered. Here's the NPR story on the awards from Morning Edition. They interviewed Rachel Wilson, a neurobiologist, and Walter Kitundu, a composer and instrument inventor.
