Ta-Nehisi Coates waxes eloquent about Michelle and Barack's fist-bump aka dap before his speech last night, identifying it as both a post-racial and post-feminist symbol. H/T to Ballonjuice

John Cole at balloonjuice also references a NYT article about Reggie Love, Barack's body guy, which mentions a close-fisted high five. I remember reading that and wondering what on earth they were talking about. Evidently that was NYT's attempt at referring to a dap.
